Fundamentals

Our curriculum begins with the foundations of healthcare analytics. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can concentrate on skills that support your needs and interests. You will:

• Analyze and interpret complex healthcare data.
• Apply healthcare analytics to operational and clinical decision-making.
• Communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Understand regulatory and compliance considerations in health data.

Review the healthcare analytics certificate requirements. With approval from the director of graduate education (DOGE), all 12 credits may be applied later to an Ivy master’s degree at Iowa State University.

Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree. Two years of work experience is preferred, but not required. Entrance to the program is on a rolling basis. Applications must be received by the application deadlines.
