We are Ivy!

The goal of the Building Our Community event is to identify action steps that can be shared with college leadership and Ivy student organizations to continuously improve and strengthen the Ivy experience.

Annual Building Our Community event generates conversation and ideas

More than 100 Ivy students, faculty, and staff gathered in the Kingland Hub on February 18 for the tenth annual Building Our Community conversation. The event provides an opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen the Ivy College of Business community.

Seated in small groups, 114 participants discussed questions about feeling a sense of belonging in the college and what it means to be successful. The conversations give students, faculty, and staff a chance to talk about their experiences at the Ivy College of Business. The goal of the event is to identify action steps to be shared with college leadership and Ivy student organizations to continuously improve the Ivy experience.

The discussion groups were facilitated by staff from Student WellnessRecreation Services, Thielen Student Health Center, and Student Counseling Services, who generously shared their time and expertise. Volunteers from Ivy Student Council and Multicultural Business Network took notes at each table.

The Building Our Community event was sponsored by the Dean’s Office and co-hosted by the Ivy Student Council and Multicultural Business Network.
