The Ames Tribune showcased the successful fundraising for the Gerdin Business building on November 23, 2019.

The Iowa State University Ivy College of Business exceeded its initial fundraising goals to expand Gerdin Business Building, with “incredible support” as the $28 million construction project continues.

Ivy College of Business Dean David Spalding said the planned structure for the project was to raise $12 million. At this time, however, nearly $17 million has been raised.

“I’ve just been blown away, and the generosity of our donors and supporters — alumni, corporations and close friends, all coming together to support this project — has been great,” Spalding said. “We’ve exceeded our external fundraising goals, and we continue to have people interested in making contributions and investments, to be a part of it.”
