The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business will present the third annual Ivy Women in Business Awards during a live virtual event from 5:30-6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2.
Established in 2018, the awards celebrate women who have been identified for their inspiration, leadership, and ability to serve as champions for women in business. The 2020 winners are:
- The Champion Award honors individuals (male or female), businesses, or organizations serving as champions to inspire, lead, and encourage women. This year’s winner is Renee Schaaf (’80, industrial administration), president of retirement and income solutions at Principal Financial Group, Des Moines, Iowa.
- The Inspiration Award recognizes women who have made a significant impact in their career. Through their work, they have inspired other women in business to become leaders and reach their full potential. This year’s winner is Berta Aldrich (’90, finance), managing director and chief marketing and human relations officer for the Private Advisor Group in Morristown, New Jersey.
- The Outstanding Young Alumna Award honors alumnae, 35 years of age or younger, who have distinguished themselves early in their career for their remarkable achievements. This year’s winner is Anna Florzak (’10, marketing), product line manager for WNBA uniforms at Nike, Inc., Beaverton, Oregon.
The virtual event will feature an engaging conversation between the 2020 honorees as they talk about their career paths, share stories and advice, and take questions from the audience. The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
The Ivy Women in Business Awards ceremony is sponsored by the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business and the Collegiate Women in Business student organization.
