(Des Moines, IA) — The votes are in, and the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business professional (part-time) MBA program is number one in Des Moines. Each year, the Business Record asks readers to select the “best of” in many categories, including CEO, MBA program, company to work for, and other categories.
The Ivy MBA was rated the Best MBA Program in Des Moines for the third year in a row.
“We are delighted to receive this honor again,” said Raisbeck Endowed Dean David Spalding. “At the Ivy College of Business, we work tirelessly to provide excellence at every level. This vote of confidence shows us that we’re on the right track. We look forward to continuing to provide high-quality education for working professionals across Iowa and the Midwest.”
After conducting focus group interviews, the program was adjusted this year to a hybrid model, delivering in-person learning one night a week instead of two to better meet the needs of working professionals. This model will continue after the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of high enrollment this year and the desire to keep the full class in one location while still maintaining physical distance, students in this program are currently meeting at the downtown Des Moines YMCA.
Courses in the professional MBA program are taught by the same internationally known faculty who teach in the full-time program on the Iowa State University campus in Ames. Students can start the program year-round and can complete it in two years or less. This program helps busy professionals prepare for career advancement, whether they are seeking a new job, a promotion, or to climb the corporate ladder.
“I remember walking into my first class,” said MBA alumnus Danny Beyer. “I knew immediately the Ivy MBA was the right decision. The benefits are something I’m going to have for the rest of my life.”
