The Iowa State University Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair is organized entirely by a student committee every fall and spring semester.  Held in Hilton Coliseum, average student attendance for the fair is 3,000+ students in the fall and approximately 2,000 students in the spring.

When/Where?

The spring Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 5pm in Hilton Coliseum in Ames, IA.

During the week prior to the career fair, our Speaker Series offers seven days of professional development sessions.  For more information, please email bcs@iastate.edu.

Registration Information

Employer invitations are sent out in June. Priority in registration will be given to direct hire employers for this event.  Third party organizations with internal opportunities or those agencies representing communities may register in order to be considered.  Acceptance will be based on available space two weeks prior to the career fair event and date of registration will be honored for booth placement if space remains.

Employers: Booths are assigned by the date of employer registration. The first 170 registrations will have a booth on the floor of Hilton Coliseum. The cost of the career fair is $750.00 per booth. Registration is available in CyHire.

Students: Please come to Hilton with copies of your resume and your ISU Student ID anytime between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. Recommended attire is business professional.

Ivy College of Business Career Fair Breakfast

The Career Fair Breakfast is a buffet-style breakfast that hosts guest speakers, company recruiters, Ivy College of Business students, faculty and staff. This event is an opportunity for students to network with company recruiters before the Career Fair. It also serves as an additional opportunity for the recruiters to get to know students.

Students:  Recommended attire is business professional. TIP: Make sure to visit the recruiters again during the Career Fair and mention seeing them at the breakfast. It is a great conversation starter.
