Since 2004, Iowa State University has offered a concurrent program that leads to a bachelor’s degree and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The concurrent MBA program is designed to be completed in five academic years, with three years of undergraduate coursework followed by two years of concurrent MBA and undergraduate courses. Candidates are encouraged to apply to the MBA during their junior year.
Dual master’s degrees with the MBA are offered in:
- Apparel, Merchandising, and Design
- Community and Regional Planning
- Information Systems
- Veterinary Medicine
Graduate students may complement their studies with a graduate certificate offered by any department at Iowa State University. In most cases, up to six credits of graduate certificate coursework may apply toward elective courses. The Ivy College of Business offers graduate certificates in:
- Business Analytics
- Enterprise Cybersecurity Management
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Supply Chain Management
In order to obtain a graduate minor in business administration at Iowa State University, a student must complete eighteen credit hours of the required core courses for the major in business administration. A student who wishes to minor in business administration must have full admission status in his/her respective graduate program and must be in good academic standing.
