In order to obtain a graduate minor in business administration at Iowa State University, a student must complete eighteen credit hours of the required core courses for the major in business administration. A student who wishes to minor in business administration must have full admission status in his/her respective graduate program and must be in good academic standing (graduate transcript required).
A student must submit to the College of Business Graduate Programs Office a letter of support from him/her major professor along with a statement of purpose providing the rationale for pursuing the business administration minor.
The minor must be listed on all program of study (POS) and examination reports and on the graduation application. The associate dean for graduate programs, as major professor for MBA students, will normally serve as the minor representative on the student’s POS committee.
Students pursuing a minor in business administration are strongly encouraged to follow the prescribed sequence of required courses below and complete the minor in two semesters.
Applications for the graduate minor in business administration are accepted for fall semester entry only.
