Our program offers flexibility with both full- and part-time options with the ability to tailor the program to your interests. Our hybrid program offers a combination of online and on-campus courses.

The Ivy Difference

STEM Designation

Our MSIS is designated as a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program. That means that international students who complete our program can extend their Optional Practical Training (OPT) visa for up to 36 months after graduation.

Heartland Scholarship

The Ivy College of Business offers a one-time $5,000 Heartland Scholarship for selected Iowa residents who enroll in the MSIS program. All qualified candidates will be considered.

Program Extras

We offer a dual-degree option with our top-ranked MBA program. Graduate certificates in business analytics, enterprise cybersecurity management, entrepreneurship and innovation, finance, and supply chain management can be earned in tandem.

Academics

Coding experience is not necessary. Instead, our program focuses on what’s important today and what will be relevant tomorrow, including analytical skills, business foundations, strategic communication, decision making, and organizational techniques.

Our 30-credit interdisciplinary program partners with other departments at Iowa State University, allowing you to customize the program to fit your interest.
