The program consists of five inter-related areas – core, specialization, research methodology and statistics, minor, and the dissertation.

The program has five areas of specialization: Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain Management.

The curriculum is comprised of 74 credits of coursework, including a minimum of 18 credits of business graduate coursework (see: Academic Prerequisites), which is typically earned as part of an MBA degree. Students without an MBA degree will need to satisfy this requirement as part of their doctoral program. It is expected that students will require a minimum four years to complete the program.
