Career fairs

Career fairs are open to all Iowa State University students and alumni as well as other job seekers. Students, come prepared with your ISU Student ID and copies of your resume. Recommended attire is business professional.

Students and employers can find updates and more information in CyHire.

Career fairs allow students to build relationships with employers, learn about internships and full-time employment opportunities, and practice professional communication and networking skills. Employers have the opportunity to connect with promising candidates for job and internship openings, promote their company/organization on campus, and network with university personnel and other employers.

The Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair takes place every fall and spring semester, and is organized entirely by a student committee. On average, more than 3,000 students attend the fall career fair and approximately 2,000 students attend the spring event.

Undergraduate students

In the Undergraduate Business Career Services office, you are our number one priority. We have a team of professional career coordinators who dedicate their time and talents to helping you succeed — starting on day one. Our staff is here to work with you to prepare for your future career and help you make decisions that work for you.

Some students wait until they are searching for a job to reach out, but we have a better idea. As soon as you settle in during your first year, contact us. We encourage you to connect with a career coordinator as soon as possible, even to simply say hello and learn about the many ways our staff can help you, before you are searching for an internship or full-time career.

It’s never too soon – or too late – to get started.

Graduate students

As a graduate student, you understand the importance of making connections with employers. That’s where we can help. Graduate Business Career Services offers two major areas of service:

  • Partnership with hiring managers and employment recruiters to facilitate recruitment and hiring of our outstanding graduates and internship candidates.

We are proud of our nationally ranked graduate programs. Together, we work with you, employers, and alumni to foster positive and productive recruiting relationships.
