The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business has reached record enrollment with 5,401 students, breaking last year’s record of 5,197 students, according to the official report from Iowa State University.

“For the first time ever in the history of Ivy, the first-year undergraduate incoming class surpassed 1,000, an 11.8 percent increase,” said Raisbeck Endowed Dean Raj Agnihotri. “Also, we are excited to announce that for the first time, our total graduate enrollment is more than 500 students.”

Agnihotri, who started his role as dean on July 1, said the enrollment numbers are not a surprise.

“This growth reflects the Ivy College of Business’s commitment to preparing students for the workforce through hands-on learning, industry partnerships, and a curriculum designed to build both technical and professional skills,” he said. “From internships and case competitions to leadership development and career services, Ivy equips students with the tools and experiences they need to thrive in today’s competitive job market.”

For the third consecutive year, enrollment at Iowa State University is up, due in part to a first-year record retention rate of just over 89 percent and growth in first-year students. Total enrollment stands at 31,105, which is an increase of 673 students from fall 2024.
