Welcome to the Ivy College of Business!

The Multicultural Liaison Officer (MLO) in the Ivy College of Business advises, supports, and advocates for students who are African American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian American, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Latino, and Multiracial.  Dr. Brenda Thorbs-Weber serves as the MLO and she is also an Academic Adviser.   She partners with students to help them achieve their educational, personal, and professional goals.

The MLO:

  • Connects students to campus and community resources to promote retention.
  • Advises the Multicultural Business Network (MBN), a student organization that helps students practice leadership, networking, and interpersonal skills and connect with employers.
  • Coordinates “Lunch & Learn” and “Snack & Chat” to share educational opportunities with students.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs Office (MSA) to provide programs.
