Anurag Joshi
Anurag Joshi (’96 master of chemical engineering, ’98 MBA) joined Athene in October 2013 and manages the derivative solutions group. Prior to Athene, he worked at Aviva Investors North America, Inc. (AINA and its predecessor companies) for over 15 years. At AINA, he was responsible for directing and managing the activities of the derivatives team that was responsible for the FIA hedging program, FX hedging as well as ALM driven transactions. Joshi has more than 20 years of finance industry experience. He has managed derivatives portfolio since 1998 leading and building platforms, that primarily manage equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, and currency derivatives. In addition, Joshi has also managed structured derivative transactions and built quantitative solutions teams. He also holds the chartered financial analyst designation and is a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Iowa. He holds the financial risk manager designation and is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Joshi also received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (with distinction) from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India.
