Bill Kalm

Bill Kalm (’73 industrial administration, ’77 master of industrial administration), is a retired executive who was an Accenture partner, retiring in 2002. He specialized in healthcare organizations, quality management, and personnel matters. He was responsible for more than $135 million in revenue generation.

Since retirement, Kalm has been a venture capital investor for multiple businesses in the healthcare, entertainment, and financial services industries. He is a founder and major sponsor of the annual MBA Internal Case Competition at Iowa State University. He helped form the MBA Executive Advisory Committee and served as its first chair from 2012 – 2014. Kalmhas served on the Dean’s Advisory Council since 2017. He and his wife, Raedene J. A. Keeton, currently sponsor approximately 30 scholarships within the Ivy College of Business.

Philanthropy has been a large part of Kalm’s life. He was involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for over 20 years, first serving as a board member and chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Southern Arizona, and then serving on the Chapter Performance Committee of Make-A-Wish Foundation of America from 2003 to 2007. He has also been a board member of Make A Difference of Arizona, Arizona Chapter Society for Information Management, the NAU CIS Advisory Committee, CASA, and Riverside General Foundation.

Other philanthropies he is involved with include United Way, American Cancer Society, Goodwill, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Run For Hope, Arizona Universities, Run for the Cure, Fiesta Bowl Charities, Bon Children, St. Mary’s Food Bank, the Humane Society, and Liberty Wildlife.

Kalm enjoys fly fishing around the world, golf, music, building computers, wine collecting, photography, and travel. He is also a proud parent—his son Andrew is a Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and is now an assistant district attorney in Kitsap County, Washington.
