The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Umphress for a Management and Entrepreneurship Speaker Series lecture on Friday, November 3. Umphress is the Michael G. Foster Professor of Management at the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

The lecture is open to the public with no charge for admission.

About the speaker

Elizabeth Umphress is the Michael G. Foster Professor of Management at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. She received her PhD in organizational behavior from Tulane University in 2003. She is the faculty director of the University of Washington’s Consulting and Business Development Center and an associate editor at the Academy of Management Journal.

Her research focuses on ethical decision making, organizational justice, and diversity issues. Her work has been published in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Business Ethics, among other outlets, and has resulted in numerous presentations at the Academy of Management and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology conferences.

The Ivy College of Business Management and Entrepreneurship Speaker Series features scholars from around the country who visit campus to present their research in the fields of management and entrepreneurship. The series allows faculty and students to strengthen their scholarly network, encouraging discussion and dialogue on research and other shared interests.
