You future starts now

You made your college experience unforgettable through your hard work, leadership, and the memories you created together. Along the way, you formed friendships, gained confidence, and prepared yourselves for what’s ahead. We’re so proud of everything you accomplished at Ivy and excited to see all that you’ll achieve next.

Congratulations, Ivy graduates

The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business celebrated its spring and early summer 2026 graduates at a college convocation ceremony on May 15 at James H. Hilton Coliseum.

The late afternoon ceremony included remarks from Raisbeck Endowed Dean Raj Agnihotri and individual recognition of degree candidates in attendance.

Wearing caps and gowns, Ivy faculty and graduating students marched into Hilton Coliseum to the applause of family and friends. Candidates crossed the stage as their names were read and shook hands with their department chair and professors.

Student Speaker

“Iowa State didn’t just give me a business degree. It gave me something harder to put on a resume. It gave me a voice of confidence.”

— William Leiva-Mercado

The student speaker was William Leiva-Mercado, from Des Moines, Iowa, who graduated with a bachelor of science in management information systems and business analytics, magna cum laude. Leiva-Mercado has accepted a position as a data analyst in Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s IT talent acceleration program in Arden Hills, Minnesota.

This spring, 863 undergraduate students earned bachelor of science degrees from the Ivy College of Business. The college also awarded 18 bachelor of business administration degrees and 140 master’s degrees.

Meet the marshals

Every semester, seven students are selected by Ivy faculty to be marshals for their respective departments and lead their fellow graduates across the stage at the Ivy College of Business convocation ceremony. An eighth student is selected to serve as the Ivy student marshal at the university’s undergraduate commencement ceremony.
