Congratulations, Ivy graduates!
The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business celebrated its fall 2024 graduates at a college convocation ceremony on December 20 at James H. Hilton Coliseum.
The late afternoon ceremony included remarks from Raisbeck Endowed Dean David Spalding and individual recognition of degree candidates who were in attendance.
Ivy faculty and graduating students marched into Hilton Coliseum wearing caps and gowns to the applause of family and friends. Candidates crossed the stage as their names were read and shook hands with their department chair, Dean Spalding, and Valentina Salotti, associate dean for academic affairs.
The student speaker was Ava Swanson, from Kittanning, Pennsylvania, who graduated with two degrees: a master of business administration (MBA) and a bachelor of science in biological systems engineering, with a focus on food engineering. Swanson has accepted a position with General Mills as a manufacturing and engineering associate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The ceremony can be viewed on the university’s YouTube channel.
This fall, 272 undergraduate students earned bachelor of science degrees from the Ivy College of Business. The college also awarded five bachelor of business administration degrees and 52 master’s degrees.
