Meet the Marshals

Students recognized with leadership roles at spring graduation celebrations

Iowa State University’s spring 2024 graduation celebrations will draw thousands of people to Hilton Coliseum on May 10 and 11. Every semester, seven students are selected by Ivy faculty to be marshals for their respective departments and lead their fellow graduates across the stage at the Ivy College of Business Convocation Ceremony. An eighth student is selected to serve as the Ivy student marshal at the university’s undergraduate commencement ceremony.

The Ivy College of Business is pleased to announce the spring 2024 student marshals for the college convocation ceremony on May 10 and the university’s undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 11.

    Madelyn Abbas

    Madelyn Abbas, from Andover, Minnesota, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Accounting. Madelyn is graduating with a bachelor of science in accounting, magna cum laude. She has accepted a position as an associate with CliftonLarsonAllen in their nonprofit group.

  • Rebecca Addo

    Rebecca Agyeiwaa Addo

    Rebecca Agyeiwaa Addo, from Accra, Ghana, will serve as the MBA student marshal. Rebecca is graduating with two degrees: an MBA and a master’s degree in finance. After graduation, she will be pursuing a career as an accounting analyst with Citadel LLC, a hedge fund and financial services provider in New York, New York.

    Adeline Currier

    Adeline Currier, from Waukee, Iowa, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Finance. Adeline is graduating with a bachelor of science in actuarial science, summa cum laude. She has accepted an actuarial position with Sammons Financial Group.

    Brayden Farver

    Brayden Farver, from Cherokee, Iowa, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Marketing. Brayden is graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in marketing and a bachelor of science in supply chain management. He has accepted a position with Corteva as a supply chain analyst in their leadership development program.

    Emma Galles

    Emma Galles, from Remsen, Iowa, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics. Emma is graduating with a bachelor of science in management information systems, magna cum laude. After graduation, she accepted a role with Principal Financial Group as a product owner.

    Sophia Kvam

    Sophia Kvam, from Austin, Minnesota, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Supply Chain Management. Sophia is graduating magna cum laude with a double major in supply chain management and marketing. She accepted a position as a supply chain analyst with Altec Industries in St. Joseph, Missouri.

    Andrew Nguyen

    Andrew Nguyen, from Peoria, Illinois, will serve as student marshal for the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. Andrew is graduating with a bachelor of science in entrepreneurship, cum laude. After graduation, Andrew will work as a sales representative for Vivint Smart Home Pro in Memphis, Tennessee. He will also work on growing his startup business, Chingu BBQ

    Jacqueline Trujillo Garcia

    Jacqueline Trujillo Garcia, from Guthrie Center, Iowa, will serve as the Ivy College of Business student marshal at Iowa State’s undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 11. Jackie is graduating with a bachelor of science in finance, summa cum laude. She has accepted a position with KPMG as an associate consultant in New York, New York.
